Supported Christoforos Merousis on July 28, 2016 with a 500 Euros donation to go to the Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in August, 2016. Merousis is a long distance runner from Chios. Merousis won the Athens Marathon Christoforos Merousis is expected to carry the Greek flag at the opening ceremony of the Olympics on August 5, 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Our board member, Georgia Volakis, and her husband, George, presented the donation to Christoforos Merousis in Chios on behalf of the Chios Society of Washington DC. Christoforos Merousis thanked the society for their contribution.
